DSE is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation with offices at The Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby & Ballerup, in Copenhagen, and at Aalborg University. Our volunteers are mostly university students from various danish universities.
-
Our goal is to facilitate contact between students and the business community and create a dialogue that lets both parties stay informed about developments within each other's areas.
-
This is achieved through various initiatives, including the company and job search tool called Pejling, two career fairs: DSE Fair Aalborg and DSE Fair Lyngby (Denmark's largest job and career fair), PRE-PAIR, a speed dating event connecting students with professionals from various business sectors, and lastly FOKUS, where students get the opportunity to meet business representatives in a more relaxed setting.

Meet the volunteers
Katerina
As a member of our IT committee, I have participated in IT projects and learned Python programming, which has strengthened both my technical and communication skills. My experience as a coordinator for our PR committee has enhanced my teamwork abilities and decision-making skills. I value being part of a student organization where I can pursue my interests and enjoy a fantastic social community.
Louise
My time as a volunteer at DSE has been highly valuable to me, both socially and in terms of skill development. Through planning and participating in DSE's career fairs, workshops, and courses, I have grown both professionally and personally, expanded my network, and gained practical experience. Additionally, DSE has provided a social space away from my studies, where I have had the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and build strong friendships through social activities and extensive collaboration.
Nikolai
Being a part of DSE has provided me with the opportunity to develop professionally and gain valuable practical experience.
In the sales team, I have gained extensive experience in customer interaction. Through my work in the PR committee, I have challenged myself and learned how to raise awareness of DSE and the many events we offer to students. This experience has significantly improved my communication and marketing skills.
Mathias
DSE has taught me many skills which I, for one, would never have thought possible to learn while studying, but most importantly, skills that cannot be taught by reading a book. DSE gives you professional competencies, as well as important connections, which you will definitely need later in your work life; join us!
Astrid
What attracted me to DSE were the many opportunities the organization offers, ranging from design tasks to sales work. Through my work in the Fair Committee, I’ve had the chance to be part of a large-scale project, which has given me both responsibility and the opportunity to develop my teamwork skills. As a bonus, you become part of a unique social community with people from different study programs, which has greatly enriched my experience in DSE.

Looking back, it was a coincidence I joined DSE, but it had allowed me to develop both professionally and personally in a way I didn’t think possible doing my studies. I have met some incredible people and got a taste of what it is like to run a business. If you also want to get something extra on your CV and meet some fantastic people, you should join DSE.
